I was looking for some ideas for a mud room between my newly built 28X30 garage and the the house when I stumbled onto this forum. Spent the better part of the morning checking it out so I figured I would join.

Welcome. I love Maine, but the areas I know are the touristy areas that you regulars probably find annoying (Ogunquit, Saco etc.)

The garage looks great. I like the stonework around the doors. It looks like a large space, too. Seems larger than 28x30, but maybe it's just especially tall?

What do you work on in there?

Bull, getting sheet rock and insulation done on the inside now, the walls are 12' 6' - so i could step up 5' to a platform and walk across the deck, into the house. Also used 12/12 attic trusses, so there is a 14' X 30' room above. I check out the forums before I work, to get ideas like the arched doors and stone... I am really diggin' E-Tek's lift idea, God knows I have the ceilings for it !! NT - yeah, mud rooms (especially this time of year) are one of things you just kinda' need.

Thanks Johnny, some great ideas on here, but double-edged. I just saw where someone installed copper airlines into the walls... I am 3/4 done with sheet rock down stairs, wish I had thought of that !! Will install from here on though... This really is a great forum, I will get nothing done today as I have been viewing threads all morning :)
