Hi all,
Considering using these for my 10x18 garage - anyone have experience with these? Like that they are PVC as I'm assuming they'd be relatively quiet?

Was going to do simple VCT tile but the temperature is pretty low here and I'm worried the glue won't do its job. Need to get floor laid in the next month.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Matthew

EDIT: also considering the Armorpoxy Supratile as I hear it's a great product too. Coming down to pricepoint especially w/exchange rate to Canuck bucks...

For a project that size I would not allow a dollar here or there per square foot to impact your decision. Get the product that you want -- but make sure you understand what you are getting.

The Norsk tile is one of the more flexible PVC tiles we have seen. They have some colors in their diamond that are truly unique. They also have a very well engineered substructure that allows moisture to get out.

Both NORSK and the Armorpoxy products are PVC and both are made overseas. I have seen both used with great success. Like all products, there are also jobs that go wrong.

To me, they are two very different styles of tile. First, compare apples to apples. Look at 1/4 " tile (6.35 mm). Next, understand that Norsk is more forgiving underfoot where products like Arporpoxy or our TrueLock PVC tile are more industrial in nature.

ALL PVC have similar issues with tire-marks and I strongly suggest using black under where the tires sit. Polypropylene hard plastic garage tiles are less expensive (generally), less watertight by design, more stain resistant. The sound issue is easily dealt with using a landscape fabric.

We have both PVC and polypropylene in our office and with the landscape fabric we notice no noise difference.

In terms of ease of keeping clean, we would say ribbed tiles are definitely the easiest. Polypropelene tiles dont get as scuffed but our Norsk tiles have done very well
