My name is John, my friends call me Mav. I have a 1948 Anglia that I am restoring the body on. Somebody did a good "Bubba Job" on it sometimes in the 50's judging by the amount of lead I have removed so far. I have removed over 20 lbs. of lead from the trunk alone uncovering really nasty welds. I have chopped the top 2 1/2". I am now need to learn how to planish the welds as I weld everything back up. In the past I overlapped panels and mudded them. Here I am **** welding everything. I have never used a hammer and dolly much so I am a babe in the woods here. I have a TIG and a MIG but I prefer the Tig.
