Well I am getting Pretty Frustrated, I have a 9ft high by 10 wide garage Door, I spent a bundle on the door so it was 2 1/2 inch thick and help keep the Warmth in! To my Problem, In the Wind it pushes the garage door and the snow comes in. I built this garage so I could have a nice place to work and well I have to find a way top seal up the Door so snow doesn't find its way in. the Seals up against the garage door are a Joke! after last weekend we had 12 inches of new snow and well to drifts in the garage. Help anyone please!

If I would have poured the pad for the garage I would have the Door on a different side of the garage!

Sounds like the door needs adjusting. It should be real close to the stops at the full down position, maybe 1/8~1/4" play max. With good vinyl weather stops around the door, you should get very little penetration by the elements.

Like mentioned, your door needs to be adjusted close to the frame all around.

My garage doors face north too, and I adjusted them close to the frame and then installed this cheap vinyl weatherstrip around the top and sides.

I don't get snow or rain in my door, but even if a tiny amount of water got past the seal, it would run right back out as the floor is sloped toward the door.

I have Overhead Door Thermacore doors and while I don't have to live through snow loads where I reside, mine did leak rain like crazy until I installed my door opener. I have the liftmaster 3800 opener and it takes enough spring tension off in the down position for the door to put more pressure on the lower seal and it doesn't leak in the rain anymore.

I also have side seals that do a really good job of fighting drafts too - it's sealed up pretty darn well and I've been extremely happy with the system. Opening the side entrance door makes all sorts of noise in the garage as the air pressure changes from the swooshing door.

I should also add that I was rather disappointed that my slab didn't slope at all under the doors but the opener fixed the water problem.

Thanks For your comments I had the garage people out three times unless they are not good at what they do which very well could be! I will look at all options! On my Front attached Garage I have to 18ft by 8ft high and I glue down a threshold and that helped with the rain I bought one for the back garage haven't got it down yet! I lucked out having a 50ft long by 28ft deep attached garage. Thanks I will let you know what I find out!

My door stops right on the floor, no slope and no recess. If the floor under the bottom door seal isn't quite flat/level, then you might try fishing some 1/2" backer rod into the bottom door seal.

This is the weather seal on mine: http://www.lowes.com/pd_61601-81-87700_0__?productId=1094677&Ntt=weather+stripping

They've been advertising this on the local TV stations lately.. Might help with what you're looking for

http://www.greenhingeofamerica.com/

It uses a spring in the hinge to keep the door pushing against the seals.

Ouch - $210 to replace the hinges on my 16x8, the whole door was only $480.

You're not clear as far as I read as to where snow is coming in: sides, top, bottom.

I have a pretty wavy floor so one of my doors was not sealing on the bottom. I installed this and I just went through that Noreaster here in NY and no snow came in.

I have the side/top seal found at the link below and it also seals great.

Bottom Corners and I have the Seals that you have shown in the picture, they are tight all the way around. I get a little at the top corners also but more on the floor!

The seals with the whiskers looks like it might be a better option. I have to try what i can, it just ***** you spend all the money building the garage and you have to shovel in and out of the garage.
