I bought a 3 set of ratchets from "him/her/"it",,,,and was never marked sold on his post. I offered $110 and "it" accepted.

So you got one of the ratchet sets I did. I am sure there are others that got one or both of the sets like I did. I also got the pry bars...strangely after sending the money I started to think why so cheap? I think after I buy for some reason.

Open a claim with paypal....gift or regular purchase doesn't matter. I did gift and when I called they said I am absolutely covered because I used paypal. I did see the blurb about gifts not being covered on the paypal site, but I think it may refer to some other type of coverage. I have to wait 10 days for northcountry to resolve or paypal will put it back in my account on day 11.

Keep bumping this thread up so those who are working see it when they get home.

I never got the ratchets and response after sending my money....last night got a moderator to contact him and opened a dispute with PayPal ....got my money back in 20 minutes

I am past 20mins. I did ask a mod to contact him and see what he is doing. I think I might be waiting the 10 days and getting it from paypal instead of him.

I encourage everyone to contact Paypal no matter how you paid. Just got off the horn with them and they said to tell everyone to report their transactions.

I'm out $235, so add that to the total. Local police love tracking down scammers like this, especially when the ammounts add up! (Plus they are SO easy to track down for the police)

Also of concern is the screwdriver pic. Look familiar? He stole that too from eBay seller beachtoolsoc!

Not sure how this needs to happen with a forum with so many people being scammed. It's obviously at a felony $ amount. Should a mod contact the pd on our behalf or should we do it for each of our own cases?

That's the address I have, did not see that it was already posted. Seems maybe he got into a financial bind with the new kid, no excuse for lying though....just hope he gets his **** together and realizes he now has another person absolutely relying on him for the the foreseeable future....

He isn't answering PM's either, but I am sure he is reading them. I guess potentially losing his job and possibly his freedom isn't as important as the money he stole. It's only going to get worse due to the dollar amount and number of people involved. He can't hide. His address is out there. He is tied to his kids registry (which makes me sad I even saw that) if it's his. Not sure how many Charles Harringtons are in the area. I have a feeling the 15 Williams st is his employer possibly. His bio says he's a pipe fitter or something like that. Quality heating and plumbing might employ some of them....

Not sure what else to say that hasn't been already. I am just waiting on some people to get back to me and I will call the PD to at least file a report. Then I will see if the attorney general has any recourse or advice. Once I do I will let you guys know.

Paypal can't be too happy either. Wonder if he does this on ebay?

Weeks, you paid on a friday and I told you I was out of town and would ship when I got back, you provide no shipping address so I had to wait for you to provide that, after that it was another 2 business days as I was away for work travel for you item to ship. I just got a pm saying you would refund me a few minutes ago. We are all honest hard working people that share a common thread. Nobody would be mad if you didn't have the stuff. Just be honest. Don't take money before you even get the items or don't have them at all. None of us want to lose money. That's the bottom line.

Not sure how you can deflect this off on others. There's people that have been waiting for a few weeks for stuff that have received no communication. You made a mistake. You said you would fix it. Despite a thread calling you out, you came on and voiced your view. If everything is resolved then we are happy.

Hello Everyone,
12:20 pm and I'm on break at work and have not heard back from northcountry at all.
If you have purchased from him and not received your goods I suggest you file a claim with Paypal. I have PM'd him to not post anything else for sale until this is resolved and locked his current other for sale threads.
Also I would never pay via the gift option and I'm a seller, part of doing business IMHO.

Paypal is now refunding the money owed.
