Last week someone posted two coupons codes that were good to the middle of Feb for Northern Tool, I was planning to buy some stuff. I wrote the codes down but can't find them.

One was 5 off 15 and the other was 20 off 100, if anyone knows or can find them it would be appreciated.

I looked in the Deals thread for about an hour last night but didn't find it.

thdy are good either on line or in the store. if the item is NOT in the store, order it and have it delivered to your closest store, and there is NO shipping charge to you. I ordered the pliers rack, used the coupon and got it down to $15 plus tax. enjoy.

How would you use a code in-store? I just stopped at one (nowhere near home) and asked. The cashier said that she had o have a physical coupon.

The good news is that they were clearing out some of their Channellock sets.

Has anyone tried the "hot line" membership ? Is it worth it, or just a gimmick to get $40 out of your pocket and pay for some of them big catalogs ?

The $5 off coupon states: "Not valid on Free Store Delivery items."

The $20 off coupon does NOT say that, however.

the coupons also say they cannot be used with any other coupons or offers, but the booklet they came with said they can be used with sale prices.

I used the $5 off coupon in the past with a deliver to store item, so maybe this is a new restriction.

I would try to use them no matter what it says on the back of the coupon. Sometimes it just depends on who is at the register.

They have a big stack of catalogs they are always giving away when I go thru the register line. I'll have to look closely at that $40 offer -- I don't know if I ever saw that one.

Edit add. $40 for a year, 8 exclusive catalogs, $100 in coupons, and deeper discounts on purchases, -- Geez, it may be worth a flier. Especially if you buy a lot of stuff from them.
BTW, I have no connection with Northern, except for my addiction to go into their new store here and buy stuff.

Couldn't find the code when I placed my order yesterday, and got tossed from sales to customer service, and when I finally got a hold of a supervisor by calling sales again they said they couldn't apply the code after the item shipped, but sent me a $50 gift card.

That's tough....

A couple of years ago they opened a Northern Tool about 30 miles from my house. I have to drive by about once a month. Very dangerous.


Then they built a Harbor Freight across town from me (2 miles?). Sometimes it's on the way home... Even more dangerous.

Sears is less than half a mile away.
