Guys,
I am in the market for a dry cut saw. I have a project that will require 20 or 30 cuts on 2x2x 3/16 box tubing. Other than that, it will probably seen light use. I did not really want to spend $500 on a name brand unless there is an appreciable difference in quality. Northern Tools unit is about half that price level. Does anyone have experience with NT dry cut saw?

I had that saw for 2 1/2 years. Used it moderately, cutting 1/8th wall tubing mainly sometimes stuff up to 1/4" thick. Saw worked great, never any issues. Had a Milwaukee as well and id say they performed pretty equal. Only sold it because i have no need for it any longer. For $270 shipped and it has a blade is a pretty good deal.

If you mean the carbide blade one then I have one. Kick myself every time I used it for why I didn't get it like many many years ago. Look around because the Rage is like on sale for close to the same price all over the place when I bought mine couple of months ago. The only reason I bought the Northern is because of the D-handle. I would go with the Rage for about the same price if I could do it over again. The rage is just so much heavier and beefier built. Still they all cut just fine and you would not regret ANY dry cut saw once you had one to use.
