Northern Tool Offset Wrenches?

A while back I picked up a couple box deep offset wrenches from the open stock Cman Professional. I was thinking about picking up the rest of the set, but from open stock it will get expensive.

People on here seem to think Northern wrenches are pretty good. Does anyone have any experience with their industrial offset wrenches?

Are they any good? Better than HF?

The HF version was terrible when I compared them. I plan on getting the Northern set which looks great for the money.

the northerns are decent ,much better than the hf, autozone's duralast ones are good also and i think about $20 a setw/ lifetime warrenty

The Duralast arent bad. COO is China though.

Deep offset double box ends are the most common type of wrench at any flea market. I have picked up gobs of them to make sets to sell at work. You find all kinds of old brands, but for a buck each, I don't care if they match at all.

The Duralast looks more like the Cman in profile, for $18 locally I might check them out (look OK in the picture).

I don't care if it is a matching set, so finding them wherever is a good plan. I've only gone to a couple pawn shops and a big used tool store, but didn't find much of what I was looking at either. There are some other pawn shops around that might be more promising. I guess I need to find out where the flea markets are, as I haven't been to any since I moved out here. I know there's a car swap meet that has tools that I might check out, I just need to go some time.

Although I think the venue it is at, if it's the same as some of the gun shows, costs like $25 just to get in the door.

It's funny that you mention that... they certainly seem to be one of the biggest "floater" tools.

I'm surprised that more people don't use them regularly, because I really like the hand clearance they give you. They're also really useful for working on industrial equipment chassis, because there's all kinds of sheet metal lips and recessed bolt heads on castings.
