I think it was all china made to begin with.

I don't think any of this bled into their online store. Maybe I can't tell.

Oh 9 bucks for stubby wrenches. Stanley-tastic! So in comrades. Wait...shipping? What is this commie ****? That makes them 15 bucks. Not cool bros. Not paying the pol pot tax!

(I do laugh at my own jokes folks)

My local store in Burnsville, MN has all open stock Northern Industrial branded impact and chrome sockets at 50% off. Impacts and 6pt chrome sockets were Taiwan, the 12pt sockets were China. I think they also had some pliers and few wrenches still left around at 50% off, but wasn't interested so didn't take a closer look.

46mm impact socket for only $9, perfect for replacing the cush drive on your Honda Hawk GT.

NT stores in NC have stuff at 75% and higher now. I got three sockets sets for less than $30 -- I'll gladly overlook COO for that kind of deal. The quality is pretty good; I've used some of their other stuff in the past.

Guys working on the big stuff, they're 3/4" and 1" drive chromes and impacts are great quality. Take home a 2 1/2" socket for less than five bucks. Beat that!

If this is like when they got rid of the sockets it won't be online only in store but definitely worth a trip.

The marketing decisions some companies make puzzle me. "Klutch" reminds me of klutz or kludge. It's a weird name for a tool brand and it doesn't exactly bring to mind thoughts of quality and value. What was wrong with Northern Industrial?

Nick-to-Nick: "Klutch" as in usable in a pinch. Seems to be a valid name for harbor freight equivalent tools.

In the surplus section at Princess Auto, I saw some tools branded "Good-E-Nuff".

Ugh, their shipping costs always nix the sale. Unfortunately there aren't any NT stores near me.

Wish my store was closer (150 mi one way ). I bought several of their sockets (on line) to fill out my socket trays and can report some have taken some real abuse and have not broken any yet.

I stopped by to check this out today and was glad I did! I got 19 sockets to fill up some empty pegs on my socket trays and 6 sockets to keep as spares for my most misplaced sizes. The sockets ranged in price from $0.47 for the 1/4" up to $1.50 for the 32mm. I also got a northern industrial hacksaw for $2.25 and a 2" drop ball mount with a 2" ball, pin, and case for $7.00. My total for everything was a little over $30.

I've hit up NT over the past couple weeks on these deals. ALL individual chrome and impact sockets were under $1 for any size 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 drive. 3/4 drive stuff was usually between $3-$4 for chrome and $4-$5 for impact. $8-$10 for impact sizes 2" - 4"

Impact extensions were between $1 for a 3/8 drive up to $2.50 for a 10" long 1/2" drive.

I grabbed a bunch of chrome sockets to use with my 3/8 impact in a pinch so I wouldn't damage my Mac's, and short 3/8 impacts to supplement my GP deep set. And lots of extensions...

AND!

If you are looking for hitch receiver tubes...they are on clearance as well for $10 for the 12" and 18" tubes. 6" for $5 and a 24" for $19. They are only available online, but free shipping to store. These make awesome additions to a welding table to mount vises or bench grinders, etc...

According to the Urban Dictionary:
--------
2. klutch
klutch means cool. just like fetch, stellar, awesome. klutch is along those lines
"your skirt is so klutch"

"oh ****! that car is so klutch
"

--------

So, if I help fix a lady's car and she says "you're so cool" I can say "It was nothing but klutch."

I posted in the wanted section too, but would any of yall hot deal seekers be willing to pick up a 6pt 1/2" drive shallow socket for me? I'm looking for the NT industries brand, not the Klutch. I'll pay for the socket and first class shipping. Socket should run less than a dollar. Thanks!
