NOS Challenger sockets

Not having 3/8: drive deep 12 points was eating at my obsession. Most of my sockets are SK but was looking at Tekton (again) due to retirement budget. Used wasn't producing any real bargains. But I came across a nine piece set of NOS Proto Challengers on eBay for less than thirty bucks delivered. I'm not providing the link because I'm not sure what the protocol is on those kinds of links.

I know Challenger was a lesser line of Proto and I'm not expecting Proto. But I do care greatly about COO and these fit my bill. Also available in six point.

Over time I have put together a set of Challenger metric combination wrenches that I really like. They are hard for me to read though.

I have several and they have always treated me well. No idea where they came from but that doesn't surprise me.

I bought a NOS Challenger set in a blow mold case a while back with 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 ratchets and sockets. Great set that is my “to-go” set.
