Personally...no. I really like my Sawstop

But for a NOS item when compared to asking prices around $1.5 to 2k in my area for for used ones ...it's less of a markup then I might have expected

Maybe, but FYI someone ripped off that picture and it wasn't NOS

That's not the same saw that OP posted. Look at all the paint wear around base, dust port and fence. Pic in OP has none of that.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say someone used some AI program to fix up the pic to make it look NOS. I don’t recall the magic to look for these details, but I imagine the OP should do it with the best original image he can get. Looks like many a website offers this.

The fold in the literature leaning against the front makes me think they are the same image, enhanced.¢¢

Edit: the logo in the lower right corner is 2x copies of the image that Gemini watermarks their work with. Probably one for painting, one for stripping the wall behind.

Here is a tool to remove it, and the symbol is at the beginning of their banner.

Huh. Scary. OK I agree the scuff/paint on the floor is the same too.

Looking again there's some weird differences but that really feels like the same image, just hit with some touch-up...

I found that by doing a reverse image search, it was tagged as an exact match.

@jives where did you find this, can you post the ad?

Would you pay $3500 for this NOS Powermatic 66? For sale in Naples, NY.
First off, hell no! I love my PM 66, but for $3500 there are way better options.

Second, nothing about that photo is real.

The Biesemeyer fence rail is missing the bare metal sections on top and in front (we can't see the back), as well as the ruler (well most of it, but you can see some remnants peeking through the AI photoshop job). The fence itself is a single color, which makes no sense when you consider that these came from the factory with laminate covered edge-banded faces.

The WEG switch is aftermarket, and the WEG name has the hallmarks of AI obscuration. That motor cover doesn't look at all right to me. The right side (blade tilt) handwheel magically got chromed.

And no Powermatic 66 ever shipped with a riving knife!

Yep, knew something looked off

Good catch. Initially I thought it looked odd, but when it was in the "original" I didn't put it together that it's not stock. Didn't even see the logo but 100% AI distortion

That motor cover doesn't look at all right to me. The right side (blade tilt) handwheel magically got chromed.

This is what jumped at me this morning

And no Powermatic 66 ever shipped with a riving knife!

Agree with you except I believe that drop style handle is an Accu Fence not Biesemeyer. It doesn't have the UHMW plastic side plates though and no rule or slide surfaces on the beam is dead give away that its fake. Missed that before.

So obviously a fake but with so many good saw pics on the web why start with one that is so trashed to begin with...

The original pictures on the auction site were very well done from an image quality standpoint. Very good start for AI retouching

I have a couple of Powermatics, a 66 (green) and a 64 Artisan saw (tan), both 10". Since they're steel and cast iron, not much to go wrong, and easy to get what you need to refurbish one. $3.5K is too-much I think. Academic, as it's been sold.
