Nose hair clipper?

Found this in bucket and can't figure out what it is or a part of.

It's two pieces with a set screw ro hold them together. Once assembled it cant move.

Haha just to be clear, I dont think this is a nose hair clipper.

Just thought the "cutting blade" end of it looked like the ones in a nose hair cutter.

This thing, the inner part doesn't rotate do I dont see how it could cut anything unless the whole assembly rotates in something else.

You don't tighten the screw down. It rides in that channel. The interior part does rotate.

Exactly. The screw just keeps it in alignment as you spin it by hand.

You’re not kidding! In laws gave me a cheap nose hair trimmer once and it just ripped the hair out. I’ve never experienced so much pain.

That looks like something someone made for their specific task. Maybe to clean out a hole or bore of some type. Hmm, like on an industrial machine or some type of equipment.

Could just be a gag metal shop class project and really was named as a 'nose hair clipper.' In HS I chose basic stuff like a desk pencil holder or meat tenderizer to actually make.
Though in drafting classes we did make some silly parts up to draw.

LOL OK I'm convinced! I was really kidding g when. I made the topic title, dont think I'll try using it. Have an electric one which is why I recognized the "bit" pattern but couldn't imagine it really was one.

I bought a battery operated one once, and used it once. Straight into the trash. Now I use very small scissors or the sideburn trimmer on my electric shaver.

A woman at work once asked a couple of us guys what kind of hair trimmer to buy for her husband, and I said DON'T BUY THAT STYLE!

I have a more modern version of that trimmer. It actually works pretty well. I suppose it will eventually get dull and start yanking hair out, but after about six years, I have no complaints.

I always just used tweezers myself.

I have one and use it.

The trick is to hold it braced very still, and slowly turn the blade w finger tip feeling... and pull it out SLOWLY not to yank out a captive but not yet fully cut hair.

Works GREAT.
