Apologies to those who saw this on another forum....

Tools at yard sales have been pretty scarce this year but I did OK this morning.

First thing found was this Hazet cart....
f2-1.jpg

I'd never seen one before but for 15 bucks it will find a use in my shop.

f8.jpg

A few nice Gray items, big wrenches, 1/2" breaker bar, Gray-Bonney 1/2" ratchet, long Cornell ratchet, some Snappy goodness, Armstrong ratchet wrenches, an unnamed set of Allen keys, two Snappy extensions and Knipex nippers. Don't know who made the cool cast marking gauge, but it's a keeper

f12.jpg

These are the 'keeper' sockets, mostly Snap-on, some Gray.

f6-1.jpg

This one is for ScottG ...the saw is an early one, with a London pattern handle, a nib and a rounded nose. The mortising gauge is ebony with a brass rod and came from the same toolbox as the chisels

And below is my favorite find of the day: a shop stool with ratchet legs...

Well I've got ratchets by Gray and I have ratchets by Bonney. It's only fitting that I should get some that have both names. All in the name of family unity.Bringing the estranged together in my toolbox seems like a good thing to me.

That ratchet stool is the coolest thing I have seen all week! Are the ratchets 3/4 drive?

In the 4th photo, right hand side there's a Stanley #81 cabinet scraper. It looks a bit rough, but is it complete?
They were made from 1909 -1942. More info here
http://supertool.com/StanleyBG/stan10.htm#numu81

It's missing the blade...not a big deal, I have a few other #81s in the shop :)It looks a lot roughter than it is...the wood is sound and the rust is only superficial.

Thanks for posting the info!

Take some very fine steel wool, soak it in oil and touch up the wood chisel. Next sharpen the blade and put some more oil on it. Last use a little wood paste wax and coat the wooden handle. If you plan on (NOT) using it right away buy a can of plastic dip and just dip the sharp blade 1/4" in the can, this will protect the blade in case you drop it or it should hit another tool.

When you are ready to use it just peel off the plastic dip and you are all set.

Oh and yes you do **** big time very nice haul!

Good score on the cart. I had one about a year or so ago that I bought at a Flea Market for 25.00. I didn't do much more then blow the dust off of it and got 360.00 for it on Ebay.

Nice cart! That is a 70's or 80's era cart judging by the Hazet logo and the caster design. In 1965 Hazet went from the lower case "a" in the Hazet logo to an upper case "A". The rear wheels are likely made by Continental with their name and the horse logo on them.

Can we be nosy, and ask what you paid for the ratchets, wrenches, etc? You sure got a
You ****" award for the Hazet cart, and we all love that ratchet-handle stool. But I'm also digging the chrome you brought home!

As long as you promise not to throw things at me....

Wrenches and sockets were fifty cents each, ratchets and pliers, a dollar...except for the sockets in the red tray, they were -all- for a dollar.

The ratchet stool was five bucks, mic & caliper set was ten, block plane and scraper were a buck each, The ebony gauge was thirty, chisels were ten each...but they were well worth it.

All prices were paid as marked....I didn't haggle anyone down.
