A summer project for the wife. She wanted a potting shed for plants so this is what I designed and we ended up with. An asphalt drive came out and we put concrete sidewalks in and a large patio. Also made a slab to set the hottub on. All in all I think it turned out fairly decent so I thought I'd share. Next Springs project is to get the house garage done so "SHE" has a decent place to park. LOL!!! I'm just glad that she doesn't want to take over "MY" garage to.

I guess I failed to mention.....20'x20', 6" walls, 8' ceilings, drywalled, R30 insulation in the ceiling, R19 wall insulation, cable TV, phone, abundant outlets, future spot for a small Koi pond inside that she wants, heated, and a lock on the inside so that if she kicks me out I am taking it over. LOL!!!

Awesome, but make sure you add PLENTY of ventilation, or you'll have mold in no time. Is that condensation I spy in the third pic on the door glass?

It is a shop.
Just for green stuff.
But ditto on the air circulation need.
All those plants are going to mean a LOT of moisture.
You need a lot of vents.

There are 8 windows total in there and when cracked open and the ceiling fan on medium, pretty well takes care of the moisture. Plus everything is painted in exterior satin paint or gloss paint and caulked. And the windows are vinyl. The day the pics were taken it was cold outside, down into the 20's. I am aware of the mold that can start and have reminded the wife a few times about it, so she can keep a close eye on things. Being this is her first time at really tring to raise flowers like this, it will be a learning experience over the next few months to find out exactly how to keep things regulated. And I told her that too much moisture can be bad on plants just as not enough can. Her plans are to get quite a few types of indoor plants started also that will stay there to help balance things out. She has plans for shelves to go around the upper perimeter and start long vines and also have large ferns. But like I am thinking, if for some reason it does not work out....bar, barstools, and pooltable!!! Now where is that weedkiller. LOL!!!

Very nice. All you need to do now is add 2 or 3 car bays to that, move in some automotive memorabilia, change the wall colour to something more "manly", lose anything that looks like flowers and it'll be perfect !!!!!
