Read the sticky titled > Why can't you reply to a classified ad?

You will see it says the following.

We no longer allow replies to classified ads. In order to make a purchase or ask a question, simply send a private message to the seller. You can do so by clicking on the seller's username and then clicking "Send Private Message."

This is the 4th forum Im a member of and it just threw me a curve ball as well. Wish they would take that off so that we could "bump" and help our fellow Garage Buddies!

I suspect this is a big part of the reason it's NOT allowed. It's not fair to the rest of us who might want to run an ad and are not your buddy... Do you cut in line at the bank too ?

The real reason is to keep the conversations down. Don't really need to read about how neat you think the item is or how fast you'd be buying it if you just had the money.

Um, not at all. Sorry, I guess I see any of the folks on here as buddies and would help anyone.
Honestly, the more active a thread is, the more people will see it bc it moves to the top of the thread list.
The more looks it gets = more chances it has to sell.
Guess I'm just more of an optimist, sorry.

Oh, and if you want "FAIR" in this world, unfortunitly you may wannt go get on a bus
