I retired 2 years ago, but forgot to change contact info and got REALLY busy traveling all over the world: Ireland, Sicily, Italy, Scotland, France, and about 15,000 miles per year on my BMW 1600 GTL touring motorcycle. Bottom line: I had to create a new account at GJ.
Our daughter and SIL moved to Italy from LA (and I don’t mean “lower Alabama”!) about the same time as I retired. We helped them shop for a piece of property to buy and remodel in the Piemonte in the Asti region about 2 hours drive SW of Milan. The little town of Nizza Monferrato is really nice (that’s what nizza means in Italian). This is the view from their patio about 3 weeks ago:
So now my wife and I are in Italy/Europe about 4-5 months per year, and at our beautiful home in SE WA the rest of the time, except when we’re in Palm Springs visiting our besties, or in Hawaii escaping the winter fog
