They're the pole opposites of each other. I've said it before, Button is similar to Mansell in that he had to work his ******** off for years to reach his potential whereas Hamilton is like Senna who was born with that natural talent. I know which one I prefer.

Every race car driver I've known is arrogant.

I have to say something about those guys. I know a bunch of top level race car drivers, and I know those two are top level F1 drivers.

They don't look nearly fit enough to be top level drivers. Those guy aren't fat, but they don't looked ripped either. Every driver I know that is very good spends hours in the gym every day, and seriously looks like they could play in the NBA or the NFL. The biggest thing I noticed are their arms - those guys have skinny arms. I've never seen a race car driver with skinny arms. I know F1 cars have power steering and the races are pretty short, but they can't be that easy to drive.

Its cos they don't do 500 miles of left turns, they have to turn both ways and feed things in, you don't need to look like mike tyson to race an F1 car :)

To each his own I guess but I had the good fortune of speaking with Bruce McLaren at the 1969 CanAm at Mosport. No arrogance that I could detect. That was back when you could get close to the drivers and they had the time to talk with you. I told him I had followed his car for about the last 20 miles before it arrive at the track. I knew it was his because it was being towed on a flat bed trailer. Things have certainly changed since then. I'd hoped to see him again at the 1970 race but he died 2 weeks before while testing at Goodwood. It's hard to believe that was just over 40 years ago.

Maybe you need to adjust your image of a top level driver, but he looks fit to me:

I wonder how much money was ******* in that warehouse ?

My thought exactly. At first I couldn't believe video wasn't a CGI simulation.

I've never seen anything on the topic, but F1 development is so rapid that they must throw away ten million in obsolete carbon fiber parts every month. What do they do with it? Is there some huge shredder behind the factory? If they didn't shred the stuff every garbageman in Braxley would be on the payroll of a competitor.

Thanks for posting. Absolutely love Senna, theres a picture of him just above my computer actually. Would do just about anything to jump in that car, same as those two did. Cool to see how in awe they still were.
