Not happy with Zoro Tools

I am in no way here to bash or change anyone's view towards the company, I just want to know if anyone else has had bad luck with them?

When Zoro had their 30% off for 3 hour sale I ordered a Dayton table saw, well at least I thought I did. I ordered the product and then checked my email for the confirmation which I received. Yesterday I went on the site to see if there was a tracking number for the product and the order status was closed. I checked my bank account and I see that the amount was on pending status. I called Zoro CS and I talked to a person on the line that told me that I had checked that the item would be exported, which it would not be. I do not remember checking that box but perhaps I did, anyway I find it hard to believe that there is nothing that they can do for me. I guess I am now back in the market for a table saw. Bummer

Rant over.

So what exactly happened. Did they just cancel the order and refund your money?

Yes, they cancelled the order and now I am in the process of contacting my bank to cancel this transaction.

Should you need to do anything with the bank? I would have thought they would have already canceled the transaction if they cancelled the order.

Why not call Zoro back and talk to a manager, mention GJ forum, and offer the chance to make this right. Clearly you made the purchase to their time requirements and what not, regardless of possibly clicking a box by mistake. Also why would they close the transaction out prior to contacting you incase there was another option to resolve the issue. I wouldn't give up that easy, but I wouldn't post about it right away, and surely wouldn't cancel the transaction to remove any chance that they might change things back around.

Just my 2 cents though....

Side note I was really looking forward to you getting that saw so I could find out what you think of it. I am planning on buying the same saw next time a good sale comes around!

i've always been real happy with zoro; the prices are pretty good and their shipping is so astronomically fast, but then again, i've only ever purchased smaller items - hand tools - at full price.

Last year when they had the 40% off sale, everybody had good luck with them. A couple people had problems and Zoro did a great job resolving them. It ***** that they wouldn't do anything for you. I would call them back and talk to somebody else, as suggested maybe a manager.

Called them back and talked to a supervisor and they stated that once I checked the "item export" box it closed the order and there is nothing that can be done.

Lesson learned, DO NOT check the "export" button on their site.

I guess it's for items that are being exported overseas.

Edit: Which I accidentally clicked because it was right next to the radio button that states "Need lift-gate truck when delivered" <- which I needed

It seems in the Hot Deals section they are having 25% off today only.

Why not reorder. Out of curiosity what is the part number. I want to see what my Grainger discount is

Does Zoro charge for the lift gate?

So with todays 25% off it is $456.29 from Zoro

With my Grainger account I get free shipping but I have to pay tax which makes it higher than Zoro's pricing.

If we can beat Wisconsin and if Michigan State loses a game before we play them we have a chance at the Big10 championship.

I may be dreaming of Wisconsin and Michigan State wins.

I know this is old, but I'm having trouble finding anything anywhere online with people's opinions on this table saw. How have you liked it? I was planning on getting the Ridgid R4512 but I noticed the Dayton can be had at a very low price with Zoro's flash sales. Is it what you expected, have you been happy? Have you found where you can get replacement parts if you have any issues?
