Not sure his name. He's an old guy. He rarely shows up, and never comes up to our second shop were I work. I have to watch out for his truck down at our primary shop. Our matco guy is a pretty good guy, I bought a nag1 transmission dipstick tool from him, and a few drivers for my 1/4 impact. Drivers sucked, broke 2 the first day I used them. dipstick is, well, a dipstick.

That has to be him. I never had a problem warranting any tools with him, maybe a little bit of playful harassment but still got it done. Are you at the ****** shop on Sante Fe?

Matercraft truck equipment. He's probably better at shops that actually do business with him. Only 2 of us at the shop use snap on and we don't buy much since we have everything we need. The other guy that uses snap on bought a welder from another snap on guy and he's going to take my sockets and get them warrantied for me when he makes his payment, but always forgets to grab them.....

You would think this would be easy but it seems many of the snap on guys are a holes. If you don't spend buku bucks all the time they could care less about you. I would think these sales guys would be ahead to step up the customer support.

I dont think they should be replaced for wear and tear, snap-ons warranty covers poor workmanship and breakage within reason, the only tool maker i know of that replaces "no questions asked" so to speak is craftsmans "guaranteed for ever" warranty. Look at this way if your dishwasher broke down after 15 years of wear and tear would you ask the manufacturer for a free replacement?

If said dishwasher was 10x the price of other brands i might expect a more liberal understanding of the phrase "lifetime warranty". Frankly for the prices they charge they really should just change it to a lifetime replacement policy for any reason; at least covering their basic hand tools.

Correct me if im wrong but Snap-On doesnt examine tools unless dealers are doing a lot of warranty, they just weigh the boxes to make sure the products replaced are within. After that they probably go off to the recycler.
