Hello, I'm looking for a temp. controlled automatic on/off for a 110v fan..
Not sure what it would be called to try my google foo, to search.
but either a pre made, plug it into the wall and plug the fan into it, or a unit that I'd have to wire in. don't really care.. one would be easier, but not a requirement..
The guess room is used as my hobby room to fix small car interior stuff and build models, etc and stuff like that, but to keep wifes cat out the door is always closed.. and when you open it in the summer, the room is hot..
Sure I could stuff a fan in the window and just leave it running, but I'd rather it on a control of some type..
Thanks.. once the basement is done, the work will be done down there... but for now,,
I was told when I had my roof done last year that the ridge vent would help the upstairs rooms not become ovens.. they lied..

years ago had a house with no AC and wanted the same thing, have the fan running but turn off middle of the night when it got cooler. I found what I needed at the Builders Square (alas, no longer in business).

Check the big box stores, near the appliance timers. looks like a timer but has a temp dial instead, plugs in the wall, fan or AC plugs into it. was about $20, but that was literally in '93 or '94 before Home Depot or Lowes but I'm sure they're probably still available...
