I'm not really sure where this thread should go but I'll just start it here and see what happens. Do any of y'all use architectural software and do you have a preference. I have Revit 2011 and a Student Version of Chief Architect and I just cant seem to decide which is better. I semi-minored in Architecture while getting my Undergrad so I had access to both of these software and couldnt decide then and still cant now. Revit's tools are VERY nice but it just seems so cluttered and more for Large Commercial projects NOT Residential in the least. CA on the other hand is very concise and to the point and seems to do a great job however i think it lacks some in the tools department (namely the tools around editing walls and such(trim, cut, extend, ALIGN, etc)

The reason I ask is I'm thinking of getting back into residential construction (on the side) and need something for plans. Again, this will only be for residential NOT Commercial as thats way out of my league (and time allowance)

I was wondering if any of y'all had any experience with either of these and if so did you have a vote either way???:headscrat:headscrat

Thanks in Advance!!
