Both are cord and plug, cannot be hardwired, will require receptacles in the ceiling. One has a receptacle in the end of it to allow for daisy chaining of the fixtures. Both will need to be hung from chains and cannot be hardmounted to the ceiling. The two bulb one is probably more restrictive of the light with the reflector made the way it is.

Of the two, I'd choose the Lithonia 4 lamp one. They are a brand name and will be around for support if anything goes wrong. Get 4 F32T8s @4100k and you'll be doing fine.

i would check the specs of each fixture including lumens output, reflectance, and place those values in a lighting calculator to see how many fixtures you will need and where- based on your preferences and perameters of what you would like. you may be able to find those exact fixtures in the program for calculation, which would be ideal.

I saw those fixtures there too

They look pretty cool - but I'll tell you from experience - "the fancier a fixture looks / the crappier it is built"

Some of those "Plain-Jane - Get the Job Done" light fixtures would probably be your best option

i just built a 28x30 garage and used the first one you listed, the 4 bulb shop light, i put 6 of them in and so far i like them. I forget what type of light(daylight cool white, etc) i used but they are plenty bright. In the octagon boxes on the ceiling i installed duplex receptacles to plug them in.

cheers
