Ha Ha!
Reminds me of a guy on YouTube that always says he is a "Professional Russian" which allows him to do all the funny stuff he posts there.
Nice work on the tanks. Did you also re-weld all the cracks where the partitions separated. Seems to be a large crack in the center of an original weld below one of your reinforcements.
Does someone do a pretty complete job of cleaning and evacuating out the tanks before you get there?
WOW what an awesome welding job in a confined space like that, well done.

Great idea in this thread !!, thanks for sharing![]()
Ya izuchal russki yazik adin god v univertitete, no ya mnoga zabuil; and probably even that is not correct! I am curious: what is "Chinomontage" (to use French transliteration)?
Nice big space you've got there, and a pit too; that is a nice thing to have; as long as it does not fill with water.
I see lots of sawdust; what do you do with your waste oil? I find oily sawdust burns very well. Very good for lighting fires quickly and easily. I pack it into cardboard milk cartons and pour the oil on top and let it soak in. They burn beautifully, but you need to be able to control the airflow completely or they burn too hot and too fast. One need's to have a good airtight stove and an insulated flue (chimney). Great for heating a garage.
Vise problems eh? There must be better ones around in old military factories etc., no?
Your German box: very hard to save a label so cracked and peeled. Linseed oil will make the paint look much better. Hard to say if it will be good for the label, but if you carefully press the edges down when the oil is partly dry and a bit sticky, it might be OK.
I guess there is not much interesting old stuff left after wartime scrap collecting in USSR/Russia?
Orenburg; cossack country in the old days right? And I remember reading something about "Orenburg shawls"; is there still a weaving industry?
PS: your table is great. I have a box of old aluminum racing conrods I was thinking of doing something like that with.
PS2: Oops: I didn't see you already have 9 pages here already!![]()

That's what I'm talking about, this is the kind of stuff that will make you money. Did a professional job with hand made tools, this is the kind of experience that will separate the man from the boys. I like the & symbol, probably took longer to make. Fine job comrade!![]()
