Nova gets a new floor

The driveshaft broke in half at the 1/4 mile marker while doing 114 mph. It took out the whole floor so patching it was an option. Had to cut out the entire floor at the factory seams as well as the roll bar. Installed the AMD floor plan and added a new 10 point cage. I also added a swing out bar and nicer seat.

Yes plus the ladder bar cross brace helped some. I did install a nice new loop plus a 3 inch driveshaft.
The transmission had a Reed case and suffered major damage.

Wow... I bet that was a spectacle! The car is the only one that sustained injuries, I hope.

What year is it, by the way? Its either a '73 or '74 from what I can make out in the pictures.

It’s a 74. Only thing I could think of was not hitting the brakes. It did oil down the track

Is that ****** fixable/rebuildable or will it have to be scrapped and replaced?

The tail stock was replaced and one of the main shafts. I was lucky having just installed a reed case ( $900 plus installation) , that kept most everything retained.
