Novelty Type Small Battery Testers

Let's see your 'Novelty' type small battery testers. These would be for testing your 1.5v to 9v type batteries in your flashlights, radios, toys, hand testers, etc.

I've started it off with two of mine that came my way over the years. I display them with my old flashlights/lamps. They work perfectly and I still use them to test my small batteries.

The first one was made by Ronco and dated 1979 and can test your standard AAA to D cell type small batteries. There's a small raised indicator arrow on the outer casing and the whole round indicator dial turns to the right when you insert a battery between the pincher contacts.

The second one was made by Micronta?? for Radio Shack. Not Dated so I'm not sure when it was actually made. This one has a small test lead for the larger round battery types and separate terminal connections for the square 9v types. Charge is read by the sweeping needle over a graduated scale type indicator on the bottom. This one tests AAA to D cell batteries and can test square two terminal 9v types. Alsohas the original box and instructions.

My parents had one of those Radio Shack ones when I was a kid in the early 80s. They probably still have it somewhere.

Those look cooler than the cheap DMMs I use only for testing batteries. I don't even know where half of them came from. All of the techs in the shop only use Fluke meters so who the hell brought a Craftsman, a HF and a Tenma? One may never know.

Here's a couple more Novelty testers. for testing AAA to D-cell Batteries. These came off of E'bay

The first one is W.C. Fields. Made 1974 by Noveltronics. His nose lights up. Funny.

The second one of course is Batman. His shield, Belt and Gotham city all light up.
