To get around the problem of thieves looking through the window I put windows in the roof of my shed. Can get a bit hot in summer but its just used for storage not sitting in so it does not matter too much.

I didnt expect to see an overhead door on that bad boy. You earned your wings with that right there, great job.

Thanks gents. I'm debating on building a full width ramp or to do half stairs/half ramp. What do you think? The only thing I need to really use a ramp for is my lawn tractor.

Looks great. I intended to build a shed this summer but never got around to it. I notice the door is the newer style without a handle though. How are you going to open and close it and lock it?

Excellent job. The thing you can do to get the eventual bounce and sag out of the center of your floor is to add a center pier or two of some sort, and you may have those issues. I solved it on an older building by attaching a length of 2 X 4 at right angles to center of the floor joists, reaching under as far as I could with a battery drill and screws on each end. A 16" X 16" concrete patio paver was pushed under to the center next. Using a hook, a concrete block was pulled onto the paver to act as a pier. For the remaining small space, two lengths of 2X4 were cut on the end to act as mating wedges. These were long enough to reach the pier from each side of the building, be underneath, and still allow them to be driven opposing each other with a hammer until they applied pressure to the floor. A screw in the outer end held them fast. This made a tremendous difference in the amount of flex in the floor system. I've had another to do for someone since then, and I just picked up one side of the building with my forklift, safety blocked, and kept experimenting with pier height. A center support really does wonders for a small building. A heavy mower will make one sag over time.

Thanks for the great info. I plan on fixing that issue with my 8 x 8 shed this spring. Riding mower has caused a bit of a dip if you know what I mean there.

Very Nice. You inspired me to rebuild my shed this coming spring. I will tear down the old one and build one a bit bigger but using the same formula. The door idea was neat.

Thanks very much.

I would build a full width ramp. If you put in steps you will most likely not use them. You latch handle is in the center and that is where you will do most of your walking.

Nice job! What are going to side it with? You will get much more satisfaction from building it yourself (and better built) than purchasing one of the "store bought" buildings. Keep the pics coming!

Wow, its been a while since I've been back here. I did get the fascia finished but I'm still rampless. I'm going to tackle that this weekend if the weather is good. I'm tired of using a plywood sheet to drive the mower up. New pics soon.
