I have a chance to buy 6 gallons of Novocoat Epoxy paint at $40 a gallon. It is 100% solids. Has anyone here used this? I have always used SW Armorseal 1000 hs but this would save me quite a bit.

It's probably a really awesome deal for the money. However, they have more than one formulation and not all would be suitable for a garage floor. In general, Novolacs are brittle but also extremely chemical resistant. Most Novolacs are not formulated to expand and contract with concrete. So, you're going to have to figure out which formulation it is (number) and then go from there. If it is a flexibilized novolac then it's going to blow away the Armorseal 1000 in every respect...

I got to believe Wolv'y above. He has been a huge wealth of information for a long time. Yah he has a product to sell, but I believe what he says here on the GJ and to be an honest person.
