Not going to be mine, but this puppy is 3 PH, 3 HP, 440 Volts, 11.5 Amps

And that appears to be a std 4 ft pallet it is sitting on...

It'll fit just fine where the front seat goes in a 4th gen Firebird / Camaro. ;)

We have a similar one at work. It sounds like it's going to take off when you turn it on. It makes a craftsman block grinder look tiny.

How is it only 3hp? It uses over 5kw...

That's what the ad said, but the plate is near unreadable in two different closeup pics, it could be 5 and they simply misread it.

A_Pmech, do you want a link to the auction? it's only a couple of thousand miles away...

I can't imagine the cost to put a new set of grinding wheels on that sucker.

In the foundry biz we use 30" x 2" grinding wheels mounted to a 30hp motor known as a snag grinder....with of course a 300# operator.
These things make stainless cut away like butter.

I missed the backstory, but I know a whole diff will fit in a lot of cars if you pull that seat and the rear one too.

You'd be amazed how concerned cops in KS are regarding wheel/tire assys. in the cabin with regard to safety when they get you for speeding mere miles from OK. :bounce:

WTF do you use it for?

What kind of man-mountain can hang on to the workpieces safely?

Scary as hell.

I love it.

I worked for a guy that had 2 shops. One had a grinder that would make that one look small and it was their only grinder. They were useing it when the shop closed. The wheels were worn back past their washers.

You have no idea how close I came to making the trip to OH for that 7.5 HP U.S. Electrical Tool grinder Jabberwoki found last fall.
