Now own 2 wright d980 wrench set

I ordered this set from a company on December 12 and on January 12th it still hadn't shipped so I called and cancelled my order in frustration and ordered it from amazon. Well I got home today and I now own 2 of these wrench sets. I haven't contacted the company I cancelled from yet but the amazon will charge me return shipping. Just wanted to vent that I my order doesn't get shipped for a month then as soon as I call it seems they hop right on it and ship it out.

I never got charged just had a pending transaction on my credit card statement that disappeared after cancellation.

Nice set....I have been looking at the SAE (D978) set for a while, these are really nice sets with the display board. And the WrightGrip wrenches are just great wrenches overall.

I hope it works out for you without restocking or other fees.

Since when did Amazon charge for return shipping? Anything I've ever returned to Amazon I print the label at home (from Amazon) and hand it to UPS.

Few different ways to be required to pay return shipping;

If there is nothing wrong with the item, and you select the reason for return as "do not want" or something along those lines, they charge return shipping. The only time they don't is if there is something wrong/defective with the item, then they take care of the charge. There are items like clothes/shoes that have free returns regardless of reason, but for the most part, you have to pay unless there is something wrong.

Another way you may have to pay is if the item is sold by a third-party seller (and not fulfilled by Amazon). If it is, they have their own return policy and usually charge a fee.

depends on the goods (cannot return dangerous goods)

depends on the seller.

if it's sold from or fulfilled by amazon no problem.

if it's 3rd party they have their own return policies.

you need ot be careful because 3rd party often charge for shipping back.

Yep pretty much what I learned from the whole deal.

On another note I listed them on Craigslist and sounds like I might have the spare one traded for a 5 inch Wilton vise and a couple snap on ratchets.
