We all have experienced the sad trend lately of poor customer service.
Well I recently experienced what could only be described as outstanding customer service, even by the most critical customer.
I am so impressed, that I had to create a new post in the effort that more would share my experience.
I recently purchased a "new" EASCO 3/4 drive socket set off Ebay. When I received the set, it was apparently new. When I went to use the set for the first time, I found that the female end of the EASCO 8" extension was out of spec (too loose).
Thanks to help from members here, I learned that EASCO is out of business, but Danaher has handled warranty issues in the past through KD Tools.
I contacted KD Tools customer service - they were VERY helpful and asked if I had any Fastenal or NAPA store near me. They suggested that I take the extension to either of these location and ask them to warranty the part. They said that if I met with any reluctance, I should have the store contact KD Tools.
I took the extension to my local Fastenal store and explained the situation. The manager contacted KD Tools and spoke to the customer service rep. They said that they did not have any 3/4 drive extensions in stock, but that they would order one in and replace it under warranty.
Today I stopped by the store to pick up my warranty replacement, and found that since Fastenal does not carry KD Tools, they had replaced my bad piece with a new Armstrong Tools #13-923!
NOW THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
Thanks Danaher!!!
