Willy Victor said:I have a Wilton 5in. jaw that I found in a dumpster #101059. I need help help lifting it. It has a swivel base. From what I can see, it is in the seven or eight hundred doallar range. Not bad for dumpster picking. How it got there is anybodys guess.

Brad54 said:I replaced the jaws on my Home Depot vise with some appropriate sized chunks of aluminum. I think they're 3/4-inch thick, 1-inch tall and the width of the jaw (6-inches). Drilled them and counter sunk the holes to make them a direct bolt-in.
Now I can firmly clamp anything I want, and it won't leave marks.
Just a tip for anyone with missing or worn-out jaws.
