While I have to admit it's rather cool, I kind of wonder why you wouldn't just get a similar sized bottom roller cabinet on wheels? That would provide 99% of the function with the ability to grow with a top chest and add on side pieces later if desired. You would loose the top storage but gain a workbench area which is pretty dang useful in my opinion.

yeah...I know there's dead space above the top drawer of a roller box, so it sound like a great idea to make use of that space.... but I'm not into clearing the work / tools off the top every time I need stuff under the lid.....
