That would be pretty cool, although I cant blame these guys for not wanting to take their work home any more then necessary.

Good luck, Cornwell truck showed up for the first time in about 6months today, different dealer though. Hated to do it but I bought the long torks sockets set. I had borrowed the T60 bit to do a rear hub on a 4wd MKX some time back and S-O and Matco did not have a suitable tool for that app. Does Mac still have trucks?

I think Cornwell and Mac dealers are pretty scarce compared to Snapon/Matco, IMHO!

The shop I work at is serviced by all 4 of the truck brands, and surprisingly enough they are all pretty decent guys so it makes deciding where to spend my money more about the tools and less about worrying who has the best service since they are all pleasant to deal with.

Might be worth a shot lol

Tell your Cornwell guy he might even sell some tools on here if he comes in. I would like to have a set of metric combination wrenches from Cornwell. I've been turning wrenches fro 20 years and never been on a Cornwell tool truck. I've bought some of there wrenches on Ebay and there a pleasure to use IMO!

I f you have a part # I can call the special order department & about 90% of the time they can find the manufacturer & I can get it. Keep that in mind for the future. Tell your Matco distributor that it can be done.

I met one of the Cornwell guys I deal with, in a Sears store, buying a tool for a customer of his...he could get it quicker from Sears than ordering it from Cornwell, so he bought it there and delivered it to the tech...I don't recall what it was, but to me that epitomizes the purpose of the tool truck...keep the tech in his bay producing flag hours, let the tool guy find the tools. I was duly impressed!

Thanks Dave, I'll keep it in mind, but we looked through the Matco branded tools and could not find a 3" long T60 that didn't have a large increase in shank diameter directly after the star pattern. In fact, Cornwell was the only brand that had a continuous diameter the length of the bit, that I could find.

I understand. We have many non-Matco branded tools available through special order. I was just offering a suggustion for the future.

snappy offers the same thing, except the price you pay for the special order is alot more to your customer if he were to go on ebay or the manufactures site and get it himself
