I promised in my intro to post a couple pics, so here goes (sorry in advance for the quality).

Here is my shop.. from the back looking out and looking into the back. Most of the work happens out front and the rear is largely storage.
The tire rack is a bit of an experiment, as is the table on the left in front, both structures are made with 1/2" galvanized pipe.
I think come spring I am going to make an 8' bench with it. Be a good excuse to buy new tools... ;)
Also, just about everything that can be is on wheels and I can fairly quickly rearrange stuff as I need.
I thought when we moved that I wanted a large detached garage, but having this in the basement where I can go tinker in my slippers is pure gold...

If anyone has any questions, or would like a close up pic, let me know.

Hello:

Lot's of stuff going on in there. What do you do in your garage? We like pictures and stories - so keep them coming. It's doesn't need to be 100% garage related - some of the threads in the Gallery are more personal blogs than Garage update posts.

Cheers

Jim

Well, I guess that motorcycle is parked for the winter up there! I love Nova Scotia, although I've only visited twice (Halifax). Both times in Winter, but even then, still beautiful. Show us the view from outside of the garage some time in the dead of winter!! One day I will take a road trip along the entire coastline there!

Yup, the bike is away for the winter. The one in the picture was last winters project, I've attached a couple from it's rebuild. Still a work in progress, as the "toy fund" replenishes... I do have 650cc V-Star put up in heated storage awaiting warmer weather. The collection of junk (as my wife puts it) is four 1975 Honda CB500T's. These are mostly what I fettle on in the shop. I've since added a fifth bike (in a box) and another spare engine.

The little tractor in my first post is a 1978 Wheel Horse C-121. It is getting set for a tear-down and detailed cleaning, and possibly an engine rebuild.

A little tricky to see in the first picture is a mid-70's Solex 5000, it's a French scooter like one my wife had when she was 15. Restoring that has been a trial, parts are almost impossible to find. I believe I have everything I need for the engine now and intend for her to be able to drive it this summer. :fingersx:
