Quick introduction, my name is Nub. I started my own little garage business after working helping out fellow Volkswagen enthusiasts. No not aircooled, the watercooled ones that most people hate! Fastforward to July of 2012, I purchased my first home. Wanting some space to expand and a decent shop. I lucked out when my GF found this place.

Alright, picture problem sorted out....
Just your basic detached garage. 26x30 with 11' ceilings. The first few months of moving and getting organized, the place was pretty sloppy! My first project was getting 220v out to the new 100amp panel I installed. Not sure where my pictures went of all that work. I had to dig a trench, go under a sidewalk and drill a few holes. And then ran an industrial 2-4 cable I acquired in a work trade!

Ill post more pics when I have time over the next few weeks to get caught up with where I am today!

Second big project was getting a 2 post lift. I opted for price over quality, figuring im not a mechanic, it wouldn't be getting used a whole lot, but just a great tool to have!

I used my truck and car to figure out a good position. I opted for a diagonal spot away from the door so I could still move things in and out in a straight line.

This work required some adjustments to the low hanging garage door while open......

Thanks you!

So here was my quick cheap, poor mans solution to my garage door.

Sorry about the mess, I alway have about 35 projects going on!
I had to get rid of the opener for now, didn't feel like messing with it, and pretty sure I would need another spring to lift it. No big deal for now.
