I recently picked up a used Nugier 40 ton press and I need a manual for it.
Does anyone now were I can get one or a copy of one?

I was going to get one from Documbase.com but they wanted to download it and I don't know enough of the website to download it.

Has anyone downloaded a file from that site?

Why not call them they are still in California where they have always been

Maybe I should call them.
I sent them an e-mail a couple of days ago and didn't get a reply yet and figured I would look for a manual on my own as well.

The press is in pieces right now and I would like to assemble it but want to see if there are any torque requirements I should be mindful of.

I'm pretty sure I have a manual at home that I downloaded from Nugier's website before they changed the website to the **** it is now. If I remember tonight when I get home I'll take a look for it and see if I can scan it for you. Is your press the manual 2 speed model or air over hydraulic?

That would be fantastic. I have the 2 speed model.
I'll put off ordering one until I hear from you again.

Thanks

1Gargeman, I appreciate the links. The first one seems to be for a much larger press. I came across the second you list yesterday which made for interesting reading.
I find it interesting that the press I picked has two tables. The auto center that closed must have ordered a second table which they placed near the bottom of the H frame kind of a stationary table. The pulley mechanism to hooked up to the table that is just below the pump. Kind of a nice set-up but very heavy. :) Thanks again for the links.

This is my first press.
Already I'm looking to get/make a brake press for it.

I'm going to need a bigger garage.
:)

Lol, the best I can do is a picture of it when it was on Craigslist.
I'll try to post it later today.

Thank you for your time and the prints. It will help with re-assembly.

I attached a picture for those that want to see what the talk was about.

How much did you pay for the press?

I bought mine for $300 and then I disassembled it and had it powder coated red and bought all new grade 8 hardware and reassembled it then I bought a rebuild kit for the pump and cylinder and rebuilt those and have been really happy ever since. I called Nugier about 8 years ago for info as to when my press was built based on the serial number and they had told me that they couldn't give me an exact year because their factory had burned down and they lost all that info in the fire but based on my serial number my press was from the 1950's.

Thanks for the manual. I combined the files into a PDF to make it easier to download and print.
