Shop is 120/240 volt supplied.
Occasionally a 120v Fluorescent Trouble Light will trip the GFI's which I believe are one Leg of the Panel.
Occasionally the 240v Mig will trip 120v GFI's also.
I haven't taken the time to study which Outlets verses which Leg of the Panel is tripping.
The Mig tripped the GFI's yesterday so I am just throwing this out there for thought and comments.

Avoid off breed wiring devices, you really have no idea if the UL listing sticker is counterfeit or not also. Are your GFCI devices a well known name? It is not a guaranteed method of avoiding problems because all GFCI receptacles are imported from China or wherever they can be made the cheapest.

Horseshit GFCI from Menards!
It was like a 5 pack for $25 or something like that.
I'll start changing out the Critical ones like the Refrigerators/Freezer. Hate to have the Beer get Warm and the Meat in the Freezer Thaw!
Thanks!

Cant have beer getting warm. You could always cook the thawed meat, drinking warm beer is out of the question. :bounce:

That is crazy, $5 for a GFCI. What brand are they.

Little choke ballasts for small fluorescents are known to have leakage current that trips GFI's.

Refrigerators/Freezer used to have an exception for GFCI requirements. They had to be plugged into a single (not duplex) outlet.

I had random, intermittent gfci tripping in my garage that drove me nuts. It ran an outlet strip running a small beer fridge, a stereo, and a dc power supply running an XM radio. I finally, after moving things around and running things off an extension cord to try and figure out which thing was causing the random trips, found the outlet strip was the cause. Replaced it with new, haven’t had a trip in 6 months.
Sometimes, it’s something weird you don’t expect.

Turns out the outside ouylets on the house are wired to the original GFCI circuit in the garage. My electric smoker keeps tripping it a couple minutes after I first turn it on. Once it warms up I'm usually fine, but it's very annoying.

My electric smoker does the same thing. Didn't do it when it was new. Cant plug it in a GFCI. I very seldom use it anymore anyway.
