Below the "Add to Cart" button, there is a check local stores link. It allows you to check stores based on who has that in-stock. Closest for me is 80 miles away in Puyallup, WA.

Even then, no need or space for this deal. Still nice to hear about, Joe.

Holy sh&& OP thank you! Just ordered to my local store for $31 shipping. I've had an empty bin next to my coarse thread bin for years, always intended to fill w fine thread. I've actually got a 3rd bin I'd love to be metric too LOL

Kevin

I opted to have a store (Flemington, NJ) ship it from their distribution center to them in NJ and I will have a buddy pick it up. I paid $207 including shipping to the store and state sales tax, still a deal for me. I don't know why no one will accommodate you on shipping it to their store. Fastenal shipping is way cheaper because they throw it on their normal load. Cost comes when it is UPS'd from the warehouse to you. As I stated above it cost me $50 extra to pay for shipping from the service center to the store and that included sales tax.

Guys in the store either don't know what they are doing or are too lazy to accommodate you.

I know the Fastenal in Brooklyn NY had this item in stock and they would have shipped it for $54 to me in MA.

Good luck!

Well I am a turd though because I didn't advertise it here until I was sure I got mine in and paid for.:3gears:

I'm a salesman so if I had the issues some of you all have I'd search for ALL my local stores, and then I'd call every single one to see who would accommodate me and have it shipped to the store. There is ALWAYS a solution.:headscrat

And I tell you, even if I had to pay $100 buck shipping, it is still a great deal.:shocking:

All fine threads, right?

Yes all fine thread. I live in MA as well. They showed 2 in Leominster but they were wrong. Store didn't give me the option to ship to store so I started looking...You know I'm an idiot. I have 6 stores right near me and I should have called them all, but the guys in Jersey were so friendly I bought it from them and I will just have to wait a little to actually get them.

I've got this cabinet for them. Top and bottom separate, used to hold XRAY film so it has heavy duty drawers (8 of them) 15" X 21", Using Plano boxes (14 x 10) to hold bolts. VERY excited. Oh and yes, the guy who sold me the cabinet ($40) was using the top for the grinder. The grinder shelf is heavy, heavy duty so the grinder is bolted and just folds up inside and latches.

I didn't see this until now and all the Fastenals are closed. Wonder if I should wait until Monday to call or just order one now and pay $97 shipping.

There's a location 34 miles away from me, on the worst freeway in existence. Tempting, if only I had money right now.

As others have asked, how do you get them to ship to the store? Also if they show it in stock is fastenal generally good about this? Also will it be the same price in store?

Just a suggestion if anyone is thinking about buying the bin. Check out duram at zoro and if your patient, you'll get at least 20% off and free shipping. Won't be blue though.

The only way I've ever got it shipped to store is to call my local store. Unk if their inventory is accurate. Yes, price is same in store, just give them their part # on the product detail page.

We all had the same difficulties with the cheap wrenches & flux core wire, couldn't figure out how to ship to store. I've not seen the button on their website that some mention here.

Look up the item. Below the 'add to cart' orange box you can see 'check for availability ', click on it and you'll see stores that supposedly have them in stock.

Tried ordering but each time I got to the credit card info the iphone reset the page.

The third time I figured God telling me no.

Gonna think about it a little more. Heck of a deal.

I believe this is the recommended storage container for this kit:

http://www.fastenal.com/web/products/details/63002

How do they come? In sealed poly bags?

This looks to be the same storage bin on Zoro's website. As mentioned before, wait for one of their sales and you could save even more.

http://www.zoro.com/i/G0750976/

Only difference I see is the lower priced one is 8.5" deep, the Fastenal is 12". Also Zoro has free shipping, and no tax to most states.

Not sure I would ever use half these sizes, but I checked for availability anyways. Closest store with stock is N.Y., but site allowed me to click to pick up at local store (10 miles) in 2-5 days. Still thinkin.

My store in Little Rock will order it but said it would cost $38 to ship it to them. Still seems like a good deal.

I'll see about free shipping to store, if not I'll probably pass on this. If it was coarse thread it'd be a decent deal, but I can buy that hardware bulk for like $2.59 a lb, which is not that different if I have to pay shipping. Plus it'll be corse.

I already have a full set of 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, and 1/2 grade 2... I should have probably went with grade 5 though.

Gotta love the inventory lookup -

Nearest 10 Stores within 25,000 miles

Yeah - that should cover it. I generally set a hard limit at 10000 miles myself :lol_hitti

"Product Weight: 88.89 lbs" not sure but after shipping this might come out to more than TSC charges for hardware by the pound. I don't know if TSC has all these sizes or if theirs is Grade 5 or Grade 8. I believe these fastenal ones are grade 5
