Nut Drivers- Why and when?

I would really dig a set of quality metric nut drivers with a built-in 1/4" female ratchet receptacle on the top of the handle! Yea, I can build one out of my 1/4" deep socket and 1/4" driver handle, but I'd really like to have a dedicated set. Or at least 6, 8 and 10mm!
For that matter, I really wish Snap-on hadn't discontinued its 1/4" driver with the socket in it! Any of the SO dealers on the board have the older style, instinct handle with the socket on top leftover?
I have a couple of other brands of handle with built-in female (beta, SK) but the SO instinct is (was? Since I can't buy it anymore?) definitely nicer.
Edit: Though it looks like SO still makes a 10" hard handled version with the female 1/4" square drive in the handle... I'm going to pick a couple of those up, though I'd still prefer to find a few leftover 7" instinct handle ones.
