Well, I have been reading this board for awhile now...maybe 2 years or longer now...I have enjoyed everyone's stories and pictures and thought I would finally share some.

I can't seem to find the pictures of when I started, but it was a bare three car attached garage in the suburbs, no drywall (excpet the parts that touched the house for fire code), four 60w bulbs, a couple of plugs, etc. Nothing special at all except for the general size was decent (32 feet across, and between 20 and 26 feet deep depending on the bay).

Things I did over the last 2 years since we moved in:

- Ripped out the staircase and rotated it 90 degrees to change the working space
- Built walls and closet doors around furnace and hot water heater
- Framed in two fold down ladders for the attic access above
- Moved wiring to allow for full flat floor in the attic space (roughly 400 square feet of storage up there)
- Added 4 lights to the attic area
- Added insulation in all walls and ceiling
- Drywall throughout the three car garage
- Put in 25 flourescent light fixtures (T8 bulbs)
- Home Depot wall cabinets
- Home Depot upper and lower cabinets
- Upgraded the door handles on all cabinets from plastic to metal
- IKEA countertops (look nice, and only $29, so easy to replace if damaged)
- Dynotile flooring
- Upgraded all electrical and added many plugs (wired 220v for the compressor and ended up adding a sub-panel for all the new circuits)
- Both outside walls are pre-wired and framed for in wall flourescent fixtures (one of these days)
- New garage door openers
- Added one 8x6 cedar shed out back (to store everything in while doing drywall, now used for yard tools, etc.)

Thanks for the compliment! Oringally I was picturing the tiles as a deep dark true orange...but in fact they are much lighter....in person they look like an old vintage McLaren race car orange. Which is OK by me! :)

I'd do the color combo again in the next garage (this is my second full garage project in 4 years), but complement it with stainless steel toolboxes, etc. Or maybe go for a full Lista package, but I am waiting until we get to the house that we will stay in for 20 years or more. This house is still not that one, but it works for now, and the garage projects let me test new things each time as I move towards the ultimate garage someday.

I love the floor, wish i could have a floor that looked that good. I dont think the tile would hold up to welding though. The colors your picked really set it off well. 2.89/sq ft is too rich for my blood though.

That is great. I really like the wall of cabinets and the floor treatment. Very nice.
