just curious on what those that actually have these pliers, and have used them, prefers. It's tough to beat the appearance chrome but I'm wondering if it would chip on a cutting edge? And of course if anyone has another brand of pliers with chrome plating, pls weigh in. I have an old pair of chrome plated Diamond slip joint pliers and they still look great.

I like the appearance of the chrome better, but the super kickass 9" American style lineman they sell only comes in Titanium with dipped grips.

I never used chrome for any pliers. I have all titan finish and it's the best way to go with pliers. I know I would destroy that chrome the way I use my pliers at work.

I'm here! :bounce:

I personally prefer the titan finish, figured I'd muck up the chrome eventually. That and it contrasts so nicely with the red and white handles, plus they fit in well with their Knipex buddies in the pliers drawer.

how does the titan finish hold up? Is it easily prone to scratching?

Anyone with feedback on how the chrome holds up?

I've been amazed at how durable the titan finish is actually. I have been cutting some pretty serious hardened wire with a set of Titan finish Heavy Duty Lever Side Cutters with negligible damage to the finish on the cutting edges. I didn't think it would be that good...
