This is more of a show & tell rather than a true review, but I thought that maybe some of you might find it useful.

I was working through a tough wiring project this morning, and after my Ergo-grip pliers saved the day I felt compelled to write about them. And then I figured I may as well talk about the other NWS pliers I have around while I was already at it.

The first couple I purchased, the last 2 were supplied by Ash (http://www.german-hand-tools.com/) for review on ToolGuyd.

While initially uncertain about the water pump pliers, after a bit more use this afternoon I'm liking them better than my Knipex ones!

Half hobby, half DIY/home improvement, half work.

I'm not a professional tool user and don't earn a living through direct use of my tools, if that's what you're asking.

This morning I was trying to repair a large polishing wheel machine and just couldn't unlatch a wiring harness with straight pliers. Sometime later this week at I'm going to be building a short watercooling setup.

Sorry, still working on my video skills. Normally I do multiple takes (and the videos still come out so-so), but I didn't really want this one to be scripted or practiced.

What creeped you out the most?

There's half a man, there's a full man and then there's Stuey, man and a half.

=) I couldn't figure out a proper ratio, so I took the easy route.

I notice ash doesn't have very much in stock. Just a few items per page of NWS stuff can you actually add to cart.

He may just be waiting on a new shipment. If there's something you want that's not currently in stock, he should be able to give you a reasonable ETA via email.

If you're in a hurry you can also order from Chad's, but their wait time can be frustrating if you order and then find out the item is not in stock.

My original order included the Fantastico side cutters, ergonomic pliers, and straight pliers.

If I had to do it again, I would only leave out the straight combination pliers or might swap it for the Quattro-grip water pump pliers or small needlenose that Ash sent over for review.

It's a hard call, but the two models that offer the most bang for the buck design-wise for users with a drawer full of other pliers, at least in my opinion, are the Fantastico cutters and ergo-grip pliers.

Thanks for the input. I've been leaning towards some needlenose (straight and/or bent) and probably some side cutters/dykes for starters maybe.

Hi, right now there is 26 different styles of cutters and pliers in stock, 18 of each. I am still waiting for my sea freight to arrive and everything on there will be in stock 18 of each. It should be here by the end of the month. I can also order anything and it usually takes 1-3 weeks turn around time to get to you. Thanks Ash
