I had to go and check my Knipex cobra that i bought in 2008.
I´ve been using it several times every week since that year.
This is how it looks now:

I have those. Have had them since about 2011. I actually don't use them a whole heck of a lot. When I do use them, they work well.

The only reason I don't use them is that I'm not a professional, so by volume I do way less work than most anyone on the board, and I was introduced to Knipex Pliers Wrench shortly after I bought a set of NWS stuff from ash.

Pliers wrench is basically my go to tool for anything non-marking (its my go to tool for a lot of things), so the NWS hang on my board most of the time.

That's kinda been my personal preference, I have the NWS Quattro and I like my Cobras as well but tend to end up using my Cobras a bit more. For dikes, linesmans pliers, stuff like that, I have a preference for the NWS stuff.

Thanks for the reply! Can the NWS PowerMax Fittings Pliers be used with small nuts and bolts? It looks like the numbers on the side of the head refer to larger bolt sizes.

I took a look at mine again. Mine don't have the numbers since you pointed them out. According to Chads I have the 166K-49-250 fitting pliers. I've used mine on small stuff.

I've just received my NWS PowerMax fittings pliers and have to say I'm a little disappointed with them.

The first thing I noticed is that the nut has to slide all the way into the jaws so that the pivoting top jaw will hold it properly. I guess that's no surprise though it does mean that they cannot be used in confined spaces like the Knipex Pliers Wrench or VBW Powergrip can.

More surprising was that it wouldn't hold a 37mm nut despite having an opening capacity of 50mm. One setting didn't allow the pivoting jaw to be parallel with the lower jaw and the next position was too wide to grip the nut.
