Has anyone tried Dico Nyalox synthetic wire wheels? Apparently, they are made of some sort of synthetic "wires" coated in abrasive.

Here's what I'm talking about:

I love wire wheels for surface prep, but they do leave scratches and metal residue (which can be bad for paint) if one isn't careful...I'm thinking of trying one of these Nyalox wheels instead. Has anyone else tried one?

I have used something similar that was for a rollock. It worked good and was a much softer hit on the material than metal wires

I've used them and they are surprisingly tough...tough enough to still scratch metal and leave a mark.

The softest prep I have found is the thinnest gauge brass wire wheel you can find.

All my Roloc stuff will leave a mark as well. The white ones for Aluminum are pretty damn soft, but won't get in nooks and crannies. I'm selling these. PM if you want better deal than my eBay price...http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=261416388404&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT
