Nye Tools - small set of diagonal cutters

I've been aware of the NYE tool company because of their large pipe tools, cutters, wrenches, vises, etc. Never seen a small hand tool by them until I bought a pair of diagonal cutters with their name on them:

They seem to have offered a number of models...

I'd bet (heavily) on Kraeuter having supplied all these pliers.

I have a pair of pliers very similar to the one stamped Nye 156-10. My pliers have the same distinctive head with the 3 position hinge and are 8" long. Mine are pretty crude, the forgings were not trimmed, there is no checkering on the grips and they are cadmium plated. They are stamped "Lectrolite No. 218 Made in USA" and are probably, like so many of my tools that came from my father, military surplus.

I'd be interested in seeing your Lectrolites, Neil.

The reason I'm confident of Kraeuter being the manufacturer is they also are well-known for making a 3-position slip-joint plier like the NYE 156 and the model number is 356.

That alone may not be enough to convince anyone, and, at first glance, the numbers for the other two models depicted above appear to be different.

But when you consider that the 7" long-nose Kraeuter was model 1781 and the 6" Kraeuter dykes were model 2601 - both the exact inverse of the NYE model numbers - I think the evidence becomes overwhelming...
