I am needing a source for a size 1.125 nylon washer. I basically need an I.D. of 1.065 inch. I only need 2 of these, so a retail source would be fine as I would hate to have to order $100 worth of washers for a minimum order.

mcmaster carr has some but with an ID of either 7/16" or 3/4", matching your requested OD, could you enlarge the center hole? or do they need to be precise?

Yes, it would be a critical part because it is for the fuel system. I have a leak around the edge of a fitting on my car's fuel cell, which should be easily fixed with these washers.

Ditto the Ace Hardware suggestion. My local ACE has four aisles of nut/bolt/washer compenents in hundreds of slide out drawers. Every size imaginable, SAE, Metric, stainless, hardened, nylon, rubber, galvanized, chrome etc.

I can cut some on my lathe, I have some black nylon. Not sure of the properties with a fuel system though... How thick do they need to be?

AN fittings, pipe fittings or flared fittings?

on flare fittings, the threads and shoulders don't make the seal--the flare does. Don't see where a washer would cure that.
On pipe fittings, the threads make the seal. Again, a washer won't fix that.

Also, not sure nylon is going to live well with gasoline... what about it swelling, getting soft/saturated, etc.?

If you MUST use a washer, I think a soft copper washer like on oil pan drain bolts would be the thing to use.

This is actually a bulkhead fitting, and it is leaking around the area where the fitting goes into the fuel cell. They come with a nylon washer, but the washer needs to be a little bigger to seal. I will check with Ace (my local Ace is not the greatest), and if not, the link above will get me what I need.
