I have a Brownell's gunsmith Magna-Tip screwdriver with an O-ring collet in addition to the magnet which makes the interchangeable bits very secure in the shaft with almost no wiggle at all. I'm looking for a ratcheting model (any manufacturer) that has this type of feature. The only thing I have come up with so far is a Matco Stubby with a ball chuck.

Maybe this is not necessary--are the Snap-on and Williams really solid feeling with magnets only?

I think I found an answer to my own question. Proto/Stanley has a tip #J61234 that has a knurled lock like the one I am after. Of course now there is the issue of a bit of wobble between the driver shaft and the adapter even though the tips will be held snugly in the adapter.

I suppose I could secure the adapter permanently on the shaft and make it a purpose-built driver. Yeah, that's it! Then I'd have to get another screwdriver for those times when I just want a magnet.....and then another one, and another one, and.....
