O-ring removal tool

I think have read on here that some ofyou were using hook and picks to pull connectors, unseat radiator hoses, and to remove o-rings.


I am looking at the Titan tools website and they show a nice looking set with presumably smooth edges, no burrs or sharp points.

I have the Snap-on set, they work rather well. I use them quite often given I work on Hydraulics/equipment.

I have that set too. Was surprised at how much better than hooks and picks they are for removing o-rings.

They work great at not marring up the sealing surface like a pick or owl can.

I have the Titan seal remover set. I never knew you could improve on the pocket screwdriver but, they are sweet at a fraction of the snappy set price.
Mayhew also makes a nice set with thinner handles

Bamboo skewers work well when you don't want to use a metal blade.

Guitar picks work well in some cases. Dental picks work. Toothpicks work. When you over haul SCUBA regs you learn to use them all.

I just use a tiny crochet hook. seems to work just dandy for the tiny "O" rings I find in lawnmower engines.

They also work great for removing electrical connectors in the auto industry .

We sell the Titans, I use them, they're really nice and work great. They come in handy for other stuff besides o-rings too, like prying open plastic cases, stuff like that.

Their website showed some nice trim removal tools I didnt know even existed.

They look like they almost make it a cinch to pull a dash apart or door jamb trim, etc.

I've been thinking of trying one of these plastic o-ring picks, model FJC 2860 (available from various sources). Does anyone have any experience with them?
