Does anyone have access to online plans for a wooden O/U shotgun case? Or details of how they built their own?

BTW, if this elicits no response, you'll see my progress pictures here in a couple of weeks.

Can you post some specs on what exactly you are trying to build? What exact features are you looking for? Do a google search for handmade shotgun/rifle also instrument/saxophone case. There are a bunch of hits, even plans. The basis of them is pretty simple.

I have to ask though, are you looking for something to use for transport and storage or just a show piece?

BTW, what O/U do you have? Do you hunt or just clay shoot with it?

I see lots of pictures but little response as far as plans go - somebody who has built one and shows the steps, for example. I will use it for transport, as long as it doesn't end up weighing far too much :)

I have a Yildiz 28ga O/U, sold exclusively by Academy Sports. Low price but reliable and nice looking, I use it to hunt - I wanted to give the doves a 'sporting' chance. As nice as it handles and shoots though, plus the fact that it requires that I concentrate (given the dearth of pellets compared to 12 ga) I may have actually made it harder for them to escape.
