most likely not. But I was not the one who posted it here.

Yup, it's posted in the correct spot. Here people will be able to see it and act on it quickly.

However, I'm not sure it would be worth driving very far for it; I may be wrong.

I don't see a lot jewels in the huge piles of stuff, looking at the low quality of tools and machinery it appears he was a big spender on Harbor Freight/asian type stuff and they look tired.

I do see a nice Starrett vise worth acquiring though he maybe have added/welded a anvil on to it, I also see a blacksmith vise but unsure how good it is.

Other than than that I could maybe see getting some of the old storage drawer boxes, the wind vane/mill and other organizing knick knacks. If you need a lot of used files, you came to the right spot.

Haha $350 if you want all the drill bits. I just noticed it looks to be ran by a consignment shop. With the internet its getting harder to find the deals because everyone looks online now. They do learn quick that people are not willing to pay retail prices at a garage/estate sale though.

I hate sales like that...overpriced junk...

if you want an easy way to find the good ones, I use EstateSales.net. I get emails every couple days listing all the estate sales within 30 miles of me...I don't do facebook so this is a pretty passive way....

I believe that weekend sale to be the same weekend of the antique tractor and steam show. I know it sometime in august. Seller probably just trying to generate interest.

I Like the professional sales better. There is one company in my area that runs their sales on Friday and Saturday. Saturdays everything is half off. I found out about them when I went to a sale from a retired mechanic that they ran. Every tool truck brand and more. Didn't pay more than $20 per ratchet, or $40 per complete set of sockets. Specialty tools were dirt cheap.

I've had good luck with professionally run sales, at least with tools. Tools don't seem to be their specialty most of the time, so prices aren't crazy. Once you know a company and their pricing, they're easy to predict for future sales. With family-run sales, you never know what prices will be and they're usually not organized. They might let people in early, they might do early sales the night before.

Of course, YMMV. Most of the companies around here understand that buyers are reselling the stuff and won't pay top dollar.

Agree, best luck is yard/garage type sales or family getting rid of estate. I just meant if you really like estate sales, it's a good way to weed through quickly. I don't hit a lot of estate sales due to the usually inflated prices but every now and then you get lucky. last one I got a save for $10, nice one, no combo but it was open. I took it apart and figured out the combo so all is good! got a nice solid cherry mission style bedroom suite for $300 once at the last hour of the sale when they were just getting rid of everything...

Retail prices? That drill press never sold new for that price. Not sure what planet they are from but that would be worth maybe $50 if in good shape but I would bet the bearings and runout are bad.

I sometimes get a big laugh as they're shooting off crazy high prices for every item then I point to a vise and they say $30. Two minutes later I'm walking out towards my car with a huge smile holding a Wilton or Athol vise.

I would ask how much for that vise right of the red bench grinder. I think it's a big Starrett vise.

I find you get two type of family estate sales, families trying to sell things they don't know much about and sell very cheap or you have families trying to sell things they don't know much about and try to sell at extraordinary high prices.
